Aurich Primary School

Currently, Familienbildung Vaihingen / Enz eV is the provider of the “Flexible Afternoon Care”.
In Aurich this applies from 1:10 p.m. to 3:10 p.m.
The municipal council had already decided in 2023 ( ) that the "flexible afternoon care" in the districts without a primary school with an offer that takes into account the legal entitlement to all-day care from 2026 onwards, would be discontinued after the 2026/27 school year, including in Aurich.
At the municipal council meeting on January 29, 2025, a compromise was reached that family education would continue to offer "flexible afternoon care" until the 2029/30 school year.

From the perspective of the support association, this is not to be welcomed!
Not only would children needing childcare have to go to the primary school in Enzweihingen separately from their local playmates (student transport not yet clarified), but we also see the risk that our school will bleed to death and be subject to the risk of closure in the long term.

It’s not time to complain, it’s time to act!
At their meeting on February 3, 2025, the members of the Friends' Association instructed the Board to develop a concept for the continuation of the "Flexible Afternoon Care" under the sponsorship of the Friends' Association.

Many hard-working hands, eager minds, and fat wallets are needed...
